In honor of Mother's Day this Sunday, we asked the team at Lisa Hoffman to tell us the best advice they got from their moms:

Be sure to go through the gallery to see the cutest pictures of our team members with their moms!

"As an L.A. girl, I’m known to be an aggressive driver. Every time I leave the house my mother says to me, 'con cuidado muñequita,' which means, 'with care, my little doll.' It’s better to be a minute late, than to lose your life in a minute." -Monique, Operations Associate

"Tell me who you're with and I'll tell you who you are." -Robert, Office Assistant

"My mom knows what she wants and will speak her mind; she's a diva. I learned from her to be strong when needed and to try my best. Also, while new to motherhood myself, if there's one thing I've learned, it's go with the flow. So, be strong, ladies—and take it easy!" -Amy, Jewelry Development Manager

"My mother ingrained in me a love for animals from an early age. From adopting shelter dogs and cats to rescuing abandoned bunnies and birds, we always cared for animals in need. Her mantra can be summed up in a text she sent me recently: 'Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.' As an adult, I've continued to be fulfilled in this sense by volunteering at animal shelters and rescuing pups. Thanks Mom!" -Emily, Director of Communications

"My mother is all about food as culture. She doesn't say, 'Hello' to welcome people to the house. She asks, 'Did you eat?' She taught me that if you really want to make a friend, invite them over to eat." -Melissa, Director of E-Commerce

"My mom always said, 'If you give someone something, don't expect anything in return.' It's taught me to be generous without keeping tabs." -Caitlin, Director of Content
